Early finish Friday

What's so good about finishing early Friday?
Most of the units on our estate are emtptied before 3pm on a Friday whereas us boys keep going till the death (6 or 7pm). What i'd like to know is what do people do when they finish early, and what is the point?
As far as i can tell they go to pub, spend their 'well earned', and are proper leathered by the time i get out of work. So what's the crack? Is it just the boss saying "off you go guys, have a good weekend" or is it just a bad habit?
I have never worked anywhere where they let you finish early, and to watch the people on our estate literally running out of work at 1, 2, or 3pm to their cars baffles me. Why? What's the god damn rush? Is there some kind of club i don't know about where they all get mega?

The reason they leave ASAP is because not being in work is MUCH better than being in work.
It's the way they leg it out of the place as well. It's like there's a mad axe wielding lunatic chasing them out of there..... they must really hate their jobs, sad to see to be honest.

I get your point, but when it's pissing down i'd rather be working still than be sat in the pub getting pissed with my workmates. Maybe i should start another thread, "Do you LIKE your job"?TurboMills said:

Fair enough. I get out of work Friday about 6 maybe 7pm, prepare the speedboat, or the track car, for the weekends fun/abuse, have a couple of beers with a few mates, and so on.
