Any Vets on here? - Poorly dog

My female GSD Ria has had a poorly tummy for nearly a week now. Started off with the runs and progressed to bouts of trying to go to the loo but passing very little other than water or VERY runny stools(Would hesitate to call them that even) .Took her to the vet on Wednesday ,as despite starving her for two days she was no better ,passing no solids and trying frequently to go.(every couple of minutes for 10 minutes ,then OK for hour or so ,then repeat)
Vet said she has stomach bug ,and gave her painkillers and presumably antibiotics by injection ,and a course of Diarsanyl oral paste (nearly gone) and Noroclav 250mg (2,twice a day).
She is still no better ,and eating very little but drinking as normal. (refusing her normal dry food and tinned meat ,refusing rice but eating fresh cooked meat OK ,but not overly interested)
She is passing mostly reddish/brown water and the odd bit of watery stool.Still trying to go frequently ,but in bouts .
I am now getting worried that the reddish brown water is indicative of some sort of internal bleeding ,but am prob being paranoid .
In other ways she seems to be fine ,goes for walks etc but is a bit flat and doubtless a bit pissed off with the whole thing by now!Odd bit of grunting when trying to go ,but otherwise no signs of being in pain.
My other dog is fine and not affected at all.
Any ideas as to what I can try and feed her ,and what any next steps for tomorrow would be .Will be going straight to vet on Mon morning if no change.

I,d take her to another vet sharpish if i were you.
No offence to the vets on here but some of them (i have been to anyway) are useless.

Being a GSD ,stomach upsets are par for the course ,but this is going on for too long now!

Try a different VET! Don't want to be alarmist, and I really hope I'm wrong, but it could be a blocked or twisted gut. Relatively easy to remedy but not something which can be left for very long!

Poley - I had thought of this but she has not been vomiting or trying to, and not showing any signs of discomfort or bloatedness. If it wasn't for the toilet problems and a slight dullness to her generally you wouldn't really say she was ill.Good luck, and keep us posted!

It was just reminiscent of a problem I had with a GSD of mine years ago. She had swallowed 2 or 3 'J' cloths which got stuck and were acting like a filter. Gave us a scare for a week but no problem after a very quick (and messy) operation!
Had a similar prob with my other one (swollen liver compressing all his internal organs - probable poisoning ),but could tell he was in trouble when we woke up and rushed him to the vets as soon as they opened and they operated pretty much instantly.Ladies and Gents ,many thanks for all your replies - I will phone the vet in the morning for further advice .Just been for a quick trot around the block ,and she nearly ripped my arm out trying to chase a cat ,so I don't think there can be too much amiss but it is still a worry - I am sure all of you with pets understand!
She has just had a bit more fresh meat ,but still won't touch anything else ,especially rice - even thouroughly mixed in with chopped meat!

Just a quick update -
Having spoken to the duty vet on Sunday morning we agreed I should take Ria in to the surgery on Monday morning ,as she had not improved at all over the course of Sunday .
They have done some blood tests ,and she has a white blood cell count off the scale ,so she obviously has some kind of infection ,but at the moment we don't know what!
Other blood results were not a cause for concern.
I have some antibiotics for her ,but as she is now not really eating getting them down her will be fun!
She is no better ,but on the other hand no worse!
Going back to the vets in the morning so they can check her bloods again and see if she has responded to the antibiotics or not.

They should consider iv fluids, unless she is drinking plenty but she will be losing fluids through the diarrhoea. Plus iv fluids just make you feel a lot better and provide useful support if been inappitent for a few days. Dogs can develop medical anorexia if they have illness which puts them off food. We had a dog at the surgery recently that wouldn't eat for a week, she had no blockage etc just gastritis but because it put her off food for 24hrs it took ages to get her to eat again, she needed to go on fluids just to support her until she ate properly again.
Just too note, twisted gut/ bloat was mentioned. Symptoms of this are far more severe, she would have been in a lot of pain, weak, trying to vomit unsucessfully and collapsing. This is a true emergency and not easily remedied as if twisted they nearly always need major (high risk surgery - due to the condition of the animal) surgery to fix.
Bloat is less severe (though still very distressing for the aniaml) but can turn into a tortion.
Hope she is continuing to improve.
