Where do you spend Christmas?

Since growing up our family all go away at Christmas. Been to Edinburgh, Paris, Geneva, Andorra.

We are just deciding where to go away this year.

Maybe a bit of inspiriation from the rest of you who go away?

Or do most people just do the whole family dinner at someones house?

I fall asleep on the sofa infront of the log burner after eating my own bodyweight in Christmas Dinner.

It's just usually a day off for me ( only day in the year that the shop is closed). Normally knackered after the rush that is Christmas Eve.

An off-licence for a major chain...and some of them open Christmas day as well

In laws. This year may be different though, so we are thinking of renting a cottage somewhere and getting away from everybody.

At Christmas I alternate between the dinner table, the kitchen and the sofa nearest the TV. It's tradition.

I slow down a bit in the evening when I get really drunk and full.

Last eight years... At home with my girlfriend, but we split-up in March so not anymore. I now have a new girlfriend but she has a six year old daughter who I won't get introduced to for ages, so I'll likely be back with my parents for Christmas this year.

Trying to maintain a tradition of staying at the Fairmont at Banff. Not convinced we've got the budget this year.

The Alps, if we can; Christmas in the UK is a dreadful thing. Yes, I bloody can stop the cavalry.

Yep xmas at home watching some re-run/one-off special of royale family, only fools etc etc , Having family round , usual turkey for dinner , opening presents, getting drunk

Quite enjoy it and wouldnt have it any different

Used to spend it abroad,(France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark) But up until recently I've been spending it at home.

I've always fancied going to Norway and spending it there, but I will look into that one next year.

This will be my first Christmas as a singleton and hence I'm planning 'anti-Christmas'. No tree, carols or schmaltz.

Instead I'm going to crank up the heating, crack out the rum and have my freakiest friends round for BBQ, loud music, dancing and general excess.
