I would like a little advice on how to deal with my children's education. I am divorced with 2 boys and the mums not much on education but I really feel its the key to giving my boys a good start in life. I am lucky that we get on really well, but I'm not sure the of the approach to take.
My eldest is 12 and doing well at school, but I would like him to get the most out of it and enjoy it. So I have decided to buy the books for maths, english, double science and follow through his homework with him this year. I only have them almost every weekend so thats the time I am trying to focus on. The little one is 6 and we read, spell and do mental maths in the car which he has started to love doing.
The advice I need is should I use a tutor for the older boy now so he starts to get a good grounding, are the books the right way or what have you guys done.
