While the first diagram seems to indicate that you should stay away from the USA if you want to avoid crash - surely this diagram would be better served being a ratio of crashes to miles flown - which would tell a significantly different story - the US has a huge amount more air traffic than any other country.

UTair , I ve flown with them for years , the good thing is most piolets are ex mig fighter pilots ....ok as long as they havent performed at air shows !!!

I'd have thought a 737 would be one of the safest through being so common that most of the potential flaws have already been discovered.

And as an avid fan of "aircrash investigation" and other such nat geog delights, more often than not the crash is human error anyway, be it poor maintenance, or in one case running out of petrol...

You didn't notice that the same models are themselves pictured in different sizes depending on their associated stats then?
