Need to buy a new waterproof/windproof jacket

Mostly for use wandering around the forecourt at work when it snows/rains/winds/colds - current one is getting rather tired.

Cannot be one of the massive puffy ones
Ideally roll down hood
Zip out fleece liner even better but not essential
Light
No more than £100 ish

Any suggestions? Outdoorsy folk?

I have an expensive regatta one, it is pants. I have an own-brand (Peter Storm or something) one from millets and it is really good for the money and much warmer and better at keeping water out than the regatta one - around £40 iirc. I wouldn't discount the no-name ones without looking into it.

The fleeces looked cheap and left residue on my shirt.

I just bought myself an Altura cycling jacket, went for blue rather than yellow as I was taking it on holiday first before using it for cycling.

I got it for £35 online from Tredz, why not go for something similar and just buy a nice fleece to go underneath?

I was looking at some of the Musto stuff last week as they have a sale on at present.

Some very good reductions although whether it is worth the original asking price is another question! Might be worth looking at their website.

I know you said under £100, but if you can stretch a wee bit more you could buy a Barbour. Best outdoor jackets money can buy, and quite cool when worn with the right clothes.

My one had the removable fleece, no residue. It was pretty much a bog standard fleece. The coat is also fine to use without the fleece unlike the regatta one which was like wearing a shower curtain...

I've got a Berghaus gore-tex outer jacket, which is perfectly fine in all but the most inclement of horizontal rain...

You need a seperate fleece but you can buy a cheap pull-over fleece from Mountain Outlet for under £20 which is perfectly fine as an intermediate layer.
