In a change to all the doom-mongering and general moaning that has been going on around here I thought I would share my good day with you all.

Got home about an hour ago with a brand new 32" TV for the bedroom that I bought for £250. OH tells me to set it up whilst handing me a beer. Set up menu works like a dream and, for the price paid, the TV is an absolute bargain.

I meander through to the kitchen and get told to go back and watch TV whilst she cooks the dinner (a rareity in our house) so I flick on Channel 4+1 to find one of my all time favourite episodes of The Simpsons on.

Then get told dinner is garlic butter prawns followed by a steak sandwich and home made wedges! Shooting Stars is on later too!

Life is good.

She's leaving you.

Classic preparation for the conversation.

Have a nice evening.

I have my mother in law staying.

Bitter?

Me?

I just managed to accidently poke the end of the vacuum cleaner nozzle through the front of my 3 month old 37" Panasonic LCD.

Hence why I'm on here and not watching tv.

I know st happens, but I bought it to replace a perfectly good 32" TV that I had for 8 years without a scratch.

Life sucks.

If the cleaner had turned up I woudlnt even have had to get the hoover out....aaaaaarfgggggggghhhhhh

Not quite as harrowing as the whinger's tales. I'll say 4/10, the garlic prawns let it down.

OK, here's my day ...

  • Up at 12:00 and out in the garden for a smoke.
  • Multiple cups of tea and toast.
  • Went for a walk along the Tay with the dog.
  • Had a couple of pints and a smoked salmon sandwich overlooking Loch Tay.
  • Back to our lodge, fed the dog and then spent half an hour in the hot tub.
  • Just about to go out for a couple of pints and bring back pizza.
  • Shooting Stars and then The Wire while tinkering.
  • Off to bed.
... and repeat.

Now I admit; I am on holiday but having just chucked my job, I won't have that depressing feeling when it's time for home.

Happy days indeed! biggrin

Cheers,

Eric smile

My day involved:
Cycling to work in the rain.
Various angry customers, problems caused by others that I was dealing with.
Not selling anything worthwhile all day.
Cycling home in the pouring rain.
Calculating finances due to car needing major service, insurance, tax, MOT and having to eat somewhere in between times.

However I'm healthy, have a job, have some money in the bank, have a nice car and I'm going on holiday soon.

No matter how crap things seem, Life is Good thumbup

The one where Springfield don't get the olympics because of Bart and Homer has to get rid of 1000 springs. Pure Class.

I can't believe that the OP has missed those feminine cues - she's lining you up for the bombshell mate!

Later this evening it'll be...

"Braaayyyburse...... I don't know how to tell you this..... and I never wanted to hurt you...... and I'm so, so sorry...... but you know how you always said that 'life's too short'....and ....well..... you've always been so tired every evening......well.... you know Steve..... yeah......Steve the rugby coach who I work with..... yeah, that's right..... the huge guy you met at my work's Christmas 'do'..... well, I've been shagging him since Christmas and he wants me to move in with him...."

I think I'll get up extra early tomorrow so I can be first to reply to the OP's new thread 'SWT strikes again - hate the bh - what should I do?'

Nice thread.

I had a real shocker today at work but I came home, had a hot shower, sat in front of the PC in my warm house and listened to the rain bouncing off the windows.

When you consider the sort of sh*t most of the worlds population have to put up with on a daily basis life is very good indeed.

Salute!

Booked a spur-of-the-moment trip to the USA for next week to watch the NASCAR in Richmond

Life is a bh sometimes, but right now it ain't half bad biggrin
