Stick their hands down their pants?

This may sound very strange, but I over time I have noticed that guys often slide their fingers down the inside of their underwear, quite blatantly, yet seemingly absent mindedly at the same time. I have seen everyone from my friends (under 20) through to school teachers (old, and a bit weird) do it. Mostly occurs when watching something, not in conversation or direct social situations. It is very obvious, and always makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Has anyone else noticed this?

ETA to aid clarification. I am not too keen on searching Google for pics, but it is usually both hands (one on each cheek), and the whole fingers below the elastic.

I don't think I do this - I tend to not have my underwear on show at any rate. Perhaps their pants don't fit....

There are also cultural/national differences on this one. Not something I do but not unusual in some parts of the world. Never noticed it in the UK though.

I am talking about in public situations, the sidelines of soccer games etc. I could not care less what people do with their hands in private.

I am not too keen on searching Google for pics, but it is usually both hands (one on each cheek), and the whole fingers below the elastic.

In Newport most of the local chavs are constantly playing with their tackle whist walking round the city centre. I don't know if it's because of itching due to STIs or some way of showing how hard they are in that they are breaking the social norm.

This sound like you're talking about down the BACK of our jeans. This is just comfortable, as we have HUGE guns for arms, we need to take the weight off our shoulders...
