Took my girlfriend out last Saturday evening... Drove 25 mins from my town to hers. Picked her up. Drove 25 mins back to my town. Took her to lovely Italian restaurant. Bought her dinner and bottle of wine. I had one glass, she had the rest 'cause I was driving. Drove her 25 mins back home. Dropped her off. Drove 25 mins back to mine. Couldn't stay at hers 'cause she has a six year old daughter who I've not been introduced to yet, ie, babysitter there for the evening.

Okay, after all of that effort and expense I figured she'd realise that I like her and may see fit to reciprocate a bit, but...

Wednesday I e-mail her to tell her I'd like to see her again soon and she tells me she can't see me until a week on Saturday.

Today she confesses that she was p*ssed-off that I'd waited until Wednesday to ask to see her again and that actually, I could have seen her this Saturday, but not now 'cause she's annoyed with me for waiting so long to ask her out again.

Am I right to think that she could have contacted me to arrange next meet or should I go with her (and my Mum's) assertion that I should have made a provisional arrangement for the next date last Saturday when dropping her off and that it's the man's job to do all of the chasing?

For the record we've been seeing each other a couple of days short of three months.

Tell her if she was that keen to see you again so quickly she could just as easily picked the phone up and contacted you too!

Why is it women are never pleased if men get in touch too soon, or are just as unhappy if they leave it for a few days?

However, I will add that if you have been seeing each other for about three months then surely you should have known before then when you would have the opportunity to see each other again? Do you not communicate at all???

Sack her off. Shes not mad, she just wants to see if she can make you dance to her tune. The best thing to do is NOT dance.

Tell her you were busy. Otherwise before you know it, youll be asking "how high?" everytime she says jump and 3 months later she will sack you off for not being a strong enough character.

Mark my words.

Had you contacted her at all between Saturday and Wednesday, or was it a nice meal on Saturday, then all goes quiet till you suddenly ask her out again on Wednesday.

If there have been texts and phone calls etc between Wednesday and Saturday then I don't see the problem and she is probably slightly more crazy than the average woman.

She shouldn't have been, she goes to great lengths to point out that she isn't a clingy and needy type, in fact she suggested that I should find one when I complained that I don't get to see her quite as often as I'd like!

So true. Men and dancing = Not happy bedfellows!

Oh yes, we've texted several times every day and e-mailed each other when at work. The evening out was absolutely perfect. Wonderful food, atmosphere and conversation, topped-off by an epic goodnight kiss that lasted several tracks of the trance compilation that I had on in the car cloud9

I agree with Dave. We are nuts so don't waste your time trying to understand us. Whatever you do will be wrong. Arrange a date to soon and we'll think you're too keen or a stalker! Myself, I am an exception to that rule angel

If your communications are still this crap after three months, you'll not see six months together! What's the bks about 'provisional arrangement for the next date'?? Are you for real???? confused

Are you 12?

Maybe she's got a boyfriend serving in Iraq for the last six months or something.

Post a picture of her on here, that's bound to go well...

I guess with women it kind of is that we get the wrong idea if we dont get asked out again, but that's generally if the man goes quiet completely for a few days and the whole "it's his job to call" but thats at the beginning, not when you're actually a couple.

they can't be a couple. how can you say you're in a relationship with someone if you haven't even met their kid?

If you've been seeing her for 3 months and she's used to regular contact, make no effort to communicate with her at all and she'll probably come looking for forgiveness in a week or 2.

As a woman, I totally agree.

Avoid at all costs.

Go gay, there is plenty of them here to choose from.
