Sept 7th, 00:51, Virgin channel 234 (History).

A Christmas Advert! Shots of a nativity play right at the end of the commercial break.

Saturday, a Tesco Advert, with Barbara Windsor doing the voice over. At the end where she says "Every little helps" there was a red Christmas tree bauble with every little helps written on it.

Im sure it gets earlier every year.

Happy New Year!

Why can it not be made law that anything Christmas cannot be unveiled until December 1st?

Went into a well know supermarket on Saturday and they had Christmas wrapping paper, tags and cards.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Selfridges will have their Christmas department up and running now.

I try to avoid all mention or thought of the day that hath no name until 1st December. It's the only way to not be completely sick of it before the day.

Costco had sodding light-up reindeer on display in the store in mid August. Why? I just cannot conceive of why anyone needs to prepare this early. Presents all ordered online early December and decorations put up on December 20th. People get themselves in a right 'tis about this Christmas lark - it's becoming a burden!

I think it was Harrod's about this time last year...the look of absolute misery on the faces of the staff in the Xmas dept listening to the same carols loop for the next 4 months.

Perhaps if we can convince the current Labour government that Christmas encourages capitalism and risk-taking behaviour, they will ban it?
