spa in london?

My lady wants us both to go to a spa - preferably in london or nearby for some pampering. any recommendations / ideas? alternatively a v funky hotel - nothing ridicuolously expensve but nice and cool?

Ohhhh - I've heard about this kind of spa...

I believe one of them has a name shared with a large South American city known for it's carnival.
