Do Waitrose have a higher quality of shoplifter?
Discussion
We can only hope.
Popped into my local Sainsburys these evening to go foraging for chilli stuff.
As I was paying for my goods, a load of noise consisting of screaming girls came from the other side of the store, and a load of kerfuffling around. The two security guards, one very lean and sprinting, the other one waddling over
, disappeared from view from behind where the screaming was coming from.
It transpires that, there were 3 girls shoplifting very very blatantly. When caught by one of the staff, they reacted violently and started going hysterical shouting "Don't touch me" and I heard (laughably) "I won't be f
king be coming here again" within it.
Now I have never had the inclination to shoplift from a supermarket, or indeed any other establishment - but surely if you had been caught red handed, you are surrounded by staff and security, the police are on there way, you would in your head go "oh f
k" and just let it happen, or shout "LEG IT" and run?
Dunno.... Made for an entertaining shopping trip for a change. Like dinner and a show.

Or... while they were distracting the security guards, the real thief was sneaking out the back with a plasma screen...
Actually I'm surprised the Government hasn't banned Waitrose for being elitist, or forced them to cut prices by half and sell 50% of their goods to chavs.

I saw a security guard apprehend a shoplifter in Waitrose, Belgravia.
Said shoplifter was a bit of an upper class junkie-looking sort, who produced two bottles of Veuve Clicquot from underneath his coat, handed them to the security guard and ran off.
FFS why do you always have to air my issues in public?Said shoplifter was a bit of an upper class junkie-looking sort, who produced two bottles of Veuve Clicquot from underneath his coat, handed them to the security guard and ran off.

Or maybe I just dreamed it.
I catch them on a daily basis, the police hate them but too but unfortunately the courts couldnt give a s
t and just give them a slap on the wrist, we issue them with civil recovery notices which annoys them but they still dont care much. I prefer the term "thief" to "shoplifter" though, they get most annoyed when told their just thieving scum, apparently shoplifting is different
Ive yet to find one thats capable of putting up much of a fight though. One I caught killed himself whilst on remand which was a bit of a result.
