OK, once people get pissed up on a Saturday night, I'd not expect too much of a pub toilet, but why is it that some presumably intelligent people seem to think it is acceptable to piss on the toilet seat?

I went into one of the cubicles at work yesterday, and some filthy peasant had done just this. What on earth is wrong with some people? We're not full of chav scum or anything. We're a normal white collar business, full of normal white collar people, and yet at least one of them seems to think that not only is it normal and acceptable to take a piss in a cubicle without lifting the seat first, but also that it is acceptable to dribble piss over it, and not bother to wipe it down.

What sort of filth does this sort of thing? irked

What are these people doing pissing with the seat down in the first place? What is wrong with putting it up?

Exactly! What would possess someone not to lift it up?

It's covered in piss and they don't want to get piss on their hands?

I wouldn't even mind if someone, for some bizarre reason, didn't want to lift the seat up, but to then piss on it and not wipe it off???

People who underneath their cheery jokey exteriors actually don't give two craps about the people they work with.

There's nothing even slightly womanly about sitting down to have a pee.

Having worked in both in a sheet metal shop and various white collar places, including one of the countries top consultancy companies, I can say that the posher the place, the sttier the toilet manners of the employees.

Current job in the Netherlands at least has immaculate toilets.

We also seem to have a case of 'shakey hand man' in our office. One day it was so bad I it was all over the seat and floor.

I was tempted to do a global email about it but thought better of that as they get a bit funny about those at work... Maybe a laminated poster on the wall with instructions on how to stand and pee would be better...

This is in my top 5 life hates, do these low life fking wkers who piss on toilet seats enjoy sitting in other peoples piss, i expect not, so why do they do it.

It wouldnt be the group of people that enjoy pissing/stting standing on the toilet seat would it.

We get this at our place as well, disgusting behaviour.

I wouldn't mind so much but we having fking urinals, why not piss in those? I can only assume that the reason they piss in the cubicle in the first place is because their aim is bad, and it's less embarrassing pissing in private when they piss all over the floor.

Still doesn't explain why they can't clean up after themselves....

If you think this is revolting, then I've seen worse at my office. Someone went in for a dump and left st overhanging the rim, and bits on the toilet seat as well. And no, he didn't bother to clean up.

Disgusting creature - if I caught him red handed I'd take pics and e-mail it to all male members of the workforce with the heading 'this is how not to keep the toilet in condition'.

I once did a huge crap at work - almost a work of art - anyway I flushed the toilet as you do and it prompty flooded. Within seconds the log was floating a mear matter of inches below the seat....eeek. I then had to fish it out of the bowl and wrap it in toilet paper before hiding it in my pocket and smugling it out through the main office!
