Steve Truglia is going to attempt a high altitude jump from 120,000 feet.
Joseph Kittinger record breaking jump was from 102,000 feet.

Kittinger is one of my heroes - what's amazing about his record is that it has stood for 49 years without being broken. I believe others have tried but died in the process.
Kittinger also has a direct relationship with car safety, appropriate for this site. He flew one of the high speed chase planes for John Stapp's rocket sled runs - testing that had a link and input to the design of seat belts in planes and cars. He was tortured by the Vient Cong in the Hanoi Hilton, as well as being the first person to balloon across the atlantic solo.
I shall watch this latest attempt on the record with interest - ballooning and parachuting seem so simple compared to rockets and satellites, but they perhaps are more of a human challenge than those other, more technoligical feats of the space program.
