Snow and bad weather...

So there I was today ordering service parts for the Range Rovers pre winter service as well as getting it booked in for a good pre winter Waxoyl when I got to thinking when do you think we are going to see the first bad weather i.e heavy frosts and snowfall?

It was in mid-October last year. I got heavily snowed on on the M1 in Northants...

Nooo, I am sure it was mid Feb 09 we got all that snow?

has anyone heard if we are having weather as bad again or not?

No. As long as I own a 4WD we always get very mild winters. As soon as I sell it the next ice age will start.

We had hail a couple of weeks ago, in the ground of Warwick castle! A thunderstorm started, just as we were waiting to see the world biggest Trabochet fire a flaming boulder, and the hail hammered down for a couple of minutes!

I think you are correct - recollect receiving text from family whilst on holiday in October saying snow had fallen.

Same here. 2001 went up to NW Highlands for Xmas / New Year in Cherokee. Sunny for 2 weeks, not even rain. Sold car & bought a 330 convertible. Following year went up again & got snowed in!

I have been quietly waiting for validation of my car choice (Scooby Legacy) for years. I felt a little smug for 20mins as the snow fell earlier this year but until I went out to play and I realised that even Subaru's excellent AWD system is seriously hamstrung by summer tyres.

I'm looking for someone who sells some Vredesteins this year.

In Feb when one of my trade customers rang me up from Derbyshire saying should he come down, I looked out the window, a BMW drove past the house up the hill, about 20 seconds later it cam past again... backwards.

I said no

Ahh yes I remember fondly smugly driving past people on the A1 in the snow lane with my winter tyres doing there stuff!

For some reason certain peeps got quite upset!

I remember last year coming back from the charlton bristol city footy game it decided to snow leaving me stuck driving down an M4 covered in snow at about 20 with bald rear tyres, that was a fun night. Even better was nearly running out of fuel and driving around swindon trying to find a garage that was open at midnight under half a foot of snow.
