The Post Code database is an extremely useful dataset for a wide range of bespoke software applications. Usually it is licenced at enormous cost. Small software developers can't afford it. Nor can developers working for charities, for fun or as an investment.

Since the taxpayer paid for this database to be constructed it is SHOCKING that it not publically available. But this is the UK and very common. The government likes us to pay twice - or preferably more often. Look at the sodding Ordnance Survey, eh? Best maps in the world. Made at the taxpayer's expense. Then fking well sold back to the taxpayer. bds.

Huuuge news this...although anyone caught using it for commercial application will be reamed by the RM...I cant see tehm wanting to lose this source of revenue

Text Editor or import into DB/Spreadsheet, it does not contain any street names so its not that useful.
