In a rush for work (so I'm taking time to post on Pistonheads, obvious thing to do), can't find a decent pair of socks so I've raided the wife's drawer (yes, it's a drawer, not a draw), pleasantly surprised by what I've found.... women get better socks than us.

men and womens socks must be pretty similar, I find that my collections get smaller and smaller and the good lady's drawer gets more and more full! Weirdly though I'm a size 10-11 and she's a 5 or 6... the heel must be half way up her calf!

Well, three hours on and the socks are going well. They are wimmins socks, not blokes! My socks all seem to have less stretch in them, too thin when stretched and generally a bit scratchy.
I've come to the conclusion it must be the socks themselves, the way they're made, the material. Our socks get washed together but hers feel like they're made of kitten skin or something. Softer and more comfortable.

There are no such things as womens socks.

There are two types of men's socks, however. Those that have been stolen by women, and those that will be stolen by women.

I buy my socks by the dozen, and do so about every 3 months.

My socks stocks depreciate at the rate of one pair a week.
