Folks,

As per title really - what are your experiences?

We have a 20-month-old daughter who sleeps in the next room to us during the night (with both bedroom doors open). When she goes for her short afternoon nap upstairs I have the monitor downstairs beside me in the livingroom. Typical 90's built house though.

In those 20 months we've never had an incident where we've rushed to her room and there's actually been something wrong.

Cheers.

We think ours was packed away at about 18 months.

Our kids are just 3 and 16 months.

We still use them so we can react quickly and prevent one waking up the other boxedin

With our first child we used the monitor for about 14 months or so, but with the second we only used it for about 6/9 months she is now 15 months old

Still have ours at nearly age 4. Don't use if for monitoring though. It has ha little night light, and sleepy music which are part of routine and not worth fighting.

At that age, if they want you, you will hear about it

Mine is 14 months, not used it for about 6 months - never had any problems, like was mentioned before if they want your attention you'll know about it.

My little girl is 11 1/2 months now and we haven't used it for about 3months.

I think it is whenever you both feel comfortable with not having it on. It's certainly individual to the parents and the child.
