Black / White inter-breeding.

Why is it that when a black cat mates with a white cat, you get a mixture of black and white cats - Yet when a black human mates with a white human, you get a person who's skin has that mixed-race light brown colour?

Why dont mixed-race couples produce some white and some black children?

Also, why dont you ever see mixed-race people with naturally blonde hair?

There would have to be some serious "trust" in that relationship, if both parents were white and gained a black child.

In the car on the way home mini-me piped up with "Mummy........What colour is Kai's body?"

Me: Erm.... Brownish I guess

Him: Why?

Me: Erm.... Well son........ you know our kittens? Charlie Mickleton has pink paw pads, and Dibs has brown ones? It's just the way it is. Some People are just different.


I didn't really think it appropriate to go into genetic heritage - I might be selling him a bit short, but I don't think he'd understand. I don't know whether he thought that Kai's body might be pinky underneath his clothes.
