We have a 40 something friend in Thailand.

Up until recently he owned a small pub empire, and it was well known that he would take the young ladies in the pub upstairs with him at closing time...

Obviously being in the pub they were 18...

Well thats the thing, not all the older men who've moved to Thailand are (P bomb removed) but I just have this automatic inbuilt assumption that kicks in!

any man over 40 that goes to thailand alone, or lives there, is there for one reason, and one reason only. I've been there twice (travelling) and it's so full of sex tourists. It's pretty disgusting really, and as you say, quite sad.

A guy I know spends alot of time over there now he has retired.
I'm confident that it doesn't involve children, but some of the stories he has told about the 'tricks' and 'shows' that women put on in public displays are eye opening!

Not Thailand, but I have a friend who is single, male, 50s who has a house in Malaysia, and I do sometimes wonder exactly what the reason for that is, but don't like to ask!

Every time I fly to Thailand I see countless fat, middle-aged, balding men in khaki combat-trouser-shorts and sandals at the airport/on-board the plane and I think to myself "You disgusting dirty, sad bd".

So... a bit like Gary Glitter then.

I have lots of female Thai friends in and around Bangers, Pattaya, Rayong and Chonburi and I hate to think that anyone I know might be approached by any of these guys... :shudder:

I was introduced to someone a few weeks ago when I was out there, a young friend of one of my friends. A young Thai girl called Kun. We got chatting in a bar and I asked her if she wanted to join us for dinner as we were leaving soon. She said she'd love to but couldn't as she was being paid for the weekend by "some guy" and was there with him.

I found out how much she was earning, paid her that amount and 10000THB extra and told her to come with us.

The guy didn't look very happy but still.

Note to fat, old UK guys: You can't get sex in this country because you are fat, old and smell. Do something about that rather than taking advantage of under-priviledged girls in foreign countries.

Thats the sad thing - lumping in perfectly innocent "older" men with the disgusting scum like the Gary Glitters of the world. The police over there arent the best in the world and can only be catching a small number of these guys, it must be a paedos paradise.
