Hire/Buy helium bottles

I've Googled this and am coming back with an awful lot of high priced nonsense...

I need to inflate about 100 balloons next weekend for a "do" in Scunthorpe next Friday and I've really struggled to find somewhere where I can get a Helium bottle for less than £100 to inflate these balloons.

Does anyone know of somewhere where I can get one from for less - or is £100 the going rate?

Helium gas is a very expensive gas to buy, that may be the best you'll do!

costco do a a helium cannister with 50 latex balloons for around twenty quid i think

DO NOT hand out one baloon and inhale another over and over, the kids might find it amusing but its not so funny when you go white and pass out.

Costco do a helium balloon kit with a cylinder & balloons for about £20. Sounds like it would be worth joining (£30/year) if £100 is the cheapest you can find (I haven't been for a few weeks and some items come & go so check before joining)

My suppliers are saying retail on this is £45.




looks like the same one as tesco, so tesco is a bargin!!!

Make sure you get balloon gas, not pure helium. Balloon gas has enough oxygen in that you can breathe it without killing yourself. A mate of mine who is a very techie bloke at Air Products told me that three lungfuls of pure helium will kill you as all the oxygen will be purged from your lungs and you'll suffocate.

Hopefully in the link above, it is balloon gas - I've not found any cheaper anywhere either so I'll be buying that...
