Halloween Fancy Dress

Some friends of mine are having their engagement party on Halloween and we all have to go in fancy dress.
My missus was thinking of going as a glam vampire or some generic thing, I was thinking of buying a cheap wedding dress off Ebay, covering it in fake blood and going as her victim
Now I am 6'1 quite heavily set and tattoed to the nines, plus I have a skinhead, so i dont think I would look particularly camp, my question is, do the PH masses think this is
A) Quite an original and funny idea, considering it is an engagement party and the fact I would look nothing like a blushing bride
B) Quite lame and I would in fact look and feel stupid and ghey

I think the wedding dress idea is suitably freaky for halloween (in the nicest possible way). If you did decide to do anything else though, I guess the options include:
Ghost - simple (lame?) but effective
Lurch - best for those of an unnecessarily lofty stature
Frankenstein's Monster - lots of face paint to conceal the point where you graft the papier mache bolts onto your neck
Dracula/generic vampire - simple, but potentially effective
Gomez Addams - just need a pinstripe suit and some brillcream!
I guess if you were going to a private party (no police or worried onlookers around) you could stick a boiler suit on and grab a chainsaw.
Never go to a fancy dress party dressed as a girl - I did once with a group of friends. It was a house party and then off into town. Little did I know they all bought a spare clothes so they could change after the house party. Going into town dressed as a girl is a littttle humiliating when everyone else looks normal!

That would rock, but you have to wear army boots, rugby socks and have stubble for you to pull it off.A quick glance at some googled size charts suggests that 18 might not fit. You might want to do some more in depth homework into this.

Do it half-arsed and you will just look like you like wearing the wife's clothes! You can probably also get away with the 'ironic' macho look, but if it were me I wouldn't be as impressed.
