Office revenge
Discussion
Posting this at my mate's request (longtime lurker) who thought some of the innovative PH'ers might be able to come up with some amusing/disarming/revengeful tactics.
The situation is thus...
Cutting a long story short, there was an office function, my mate took someone back to hers for ummm...coffee (I'm assured it wasn't much more than coffee
and they have since been out together since). The next day she gives the guy a lift (in her mk2.5 MX5, this is PH afterall) into work & as they are alighting the vehicle, they get seen by another guy from the office.
The cocksprocket that saw them has now started spreading rumours. Apparently my mate & this guy were at it like rabbits all night long etc, amongst other things.
No one has had the balls to really say anything much to my mate, but the poor guy involved has been getting a lot of stick (though not sure why - my mate's a fox - and yup, I know, This Thread Is Useless Without Pics).
At first we assumed that this was just office boredom and this would die down, but it was nearly two weeks ago, and it's just not stopping.
The guy that started the rumours, and has been basically making a load of stuff up thinks that my mate doesn't know where the rumours have originated from (he isn't the brightest button in the box, and looks like a ginger Bruce Forsyth).
Of course the right way to deal with this is to just ignore it, and sit it out.
The wrong way to deal with this is VBRJ (and it looks like it might be getting to the point that this is inevitable).
What other suggestions are there?
This is very simple to resolve.

It's a 1.8 in crystal blue metallic - if you see her around, wave hello
(nb she's also after a hard top for the winter, so if anyone knows of one going for a reasonable price in the Midlands, let me know!)
Our 'Dignity at Work' officer has recently been made redundant (oh, the irony) but going to the boss is a consideration if it doesn't calm down.
Crimping one off on his desk is a good suggestion, but potentially difficult to achieve (I think they hot desk down on her floor).
I think she's going to end up having to have a word directly to him, & telling him to get a life of his own, but knowing that they have the upper hand (in that they know it was this knob that started it, and he thinks he's anonymous and has therefore got away with it) it makes them want to capitalise on this.

By being the only one not dribbling?
This probably, although I think more likely is that she was the head of HR for the region, but then when the company centralised the HR function they couldn't afford at the time to make her redundant, so created a role for her, hoping she'd just take early retirement.Terry Tate - not seen that before
