Can't get the iphone as new property is not on the register

AS per title, after months of waiting the local CPWH got a 16gb in stock, only to be told as our new build (moved in in April) was not on their computer as an address!
Hugely frustrated, it is on the postal reg, and many other companies (insurance etc) can see it but not CPWH?
Is anyone in the 'know' how often they refresh their address register, or would this be a O2 issue and not CPWH?

Depends how often they get PAF data from the Royal Mail. They could get it monthly or quarterly. Knowing them they get it annually!!

I have this issue all the time and its not a new built!

As you said, depends on postcode software they use.

Can you not get the phone from somewhere other than CPWH?

Had issues with the new Tatlktalk building not being recognised on RM systems!! Not sure how often it's updated though, hope it itsn't too long

OP, I suggest first making sure your address is listed on the Post Office's (Royal Mail's) official database of addresses. A quick phonecall explaining your situation should get it sorted.

Companies should update their address listing fairly regularly from this and if you know that your address is on the database, you can point this out.

I had this problem a few years ago and got it completely sorted in a week or so.

I had exactly the same issue recently...

It's amazing how quickly an email to Ronan Dunne got my issue resolved - I had a shiny new iPhone in my hand within 72 hours..!
