Am I correct in thinking that email addresses for professionals in the nhs are [e-mail]?

My OH works at the North Bristol Trust so her email address is [e-mail] (I know, weird names eh? )

Two tiers of addresses.

@nhs.net -a national web-based system with highest levels of security, encryption etc. Everyone has one, but not everyone uses it because its a clunkier system than their own Trust's email address (e.g. @trustname.nhs.uk) which is operated through Outlook and tends to be hooked up with active directory and all the convenience that brings.

We're supposed to send everything sensitive via nhs.net but that often doesn't happen.

@nhs.net for me. No trust email address. Never worked properly in outlook. Much easier to do as web based.

The LDAP server contains a few million email addresses and if you point outlook to it the computer starts smoking.

For a long time (its much improved now ) if you googled nhs.net, the first page that came up was a GP blogger with the sentence: "Why is nhs.net so st?"

Frustrating thing with nhs.net is you lose attachments when forwarding an email. Or maybe just settings in OW?
