i voted for the reams of paper, they would be the only thing that would still hurt as much by the time they reached him, the coffee would have cooled by the time it fell, and the tar, although ideal, is not the sort of thing you are likely to have a ready supply of in the average office.

If, perchance you do have some spare boiling tar, then i change my vote to that

Couldn't you kick the st out of him? I think there's something really aesthetically pleasing, a sort of joyful decadence about a well dressed and well off venting his fury on someone far less fortunate than himself.

A note of caution though, if you're not rich, with a plummy accent and a monacle then you will just seem like a spiteful chav for beating up a tramp. Stick to hot tar.
