Bit of a strange one this! How can I find out if it rained last night or not!? (other than looking out of the window! )

I find it hard to work out what recent historical weather was - it doesn't seem to be common on tinterweb. So I bought a weather station

How about looking at an electronic barometer that has markers for the last 24 hours. If it's on a really steep rise, chances are it was pretty st 24 hours ago. No guarantee, though.

Thank you to those who were helpful - for those who feel it is a useless thread, feel free to return to the myriad "What are you doing now?" / "Who do you hate?" / "How do I boil the kettle?" threads that populate The Lounge.

The reason I am asking is because we have a new block paved drive that needs sealing. It can't be sealed if it has rained in the last couple of days. Builder wants to seal it tomorrow. I didn't think it rained last night but the car was wet this morning, so I am trying to establish whether it was rain / condensation /dew.

I spent a good half an hour searching the web, looked up my local weather stations (Kenley / Biggin Hill) but couldn't find anything that covered last night.

If anybody can tell me whether it rained last night in the Bromley area I would be very grateful - then the mods can lock and delete this thread to avoid offending anybody else in The Lounge.
