Trevor Baylis, wearing his favourite brown cord suit and blue shirt, sporting tufty grey hair in a dishevelled manner.... introduced the invention exhibition on BBC breakfast this morning saying "I'm trying to change the image of inventors".

This is my best thing today.

Well Trevor, I for one, don't want you to. You epitomise what inventors and academics should be. Scruffy, a bit bonkers and unkempt, endearing - and always in cordUroy.

Trevor is a good chap who is probably a hero - but being a different inventor - no, sorry.

Being different would be, clean shaved, hard working, nice suit etc etc

When you consider the pain and frustration Baylis endured in order to get the clockwork radio produced, he should be accorded the utmost respect. However, he deserves more for his success in retaining the rights to his inventions and not getting fleeced by some suits.
