Quandary

I have received notification of an underpayment on a parcel, this is due to a customs charge and comes to £15.01. I have asked the wife and kids and no one has ordered anything from overseas or is expecting a parcel, so what should I do?

Ignore it, would it be returned to sender?

Pay the 15 quid and see what I have won in the Royal Mail lottery?

I believe it's a con. Check out the watchdog site im sure there was something on there a couple of weeks ago.

I did think of this but this would be a direct payment to The Royal Mail sorting office so I don't see who would gain if it was a scam

Did you not hear the item on the news about Al-Qaeda being short of funds?

That was a company sending fake courier notices and making people pay by credit card for "redelivery".

Then then'd use their credit card numbers to pay for adverts in national newspapers, advertising cheap products for people to order..by credit card

I thought it was quite ingenious

OP, pop along to the post office and ask to see it. Shouldn't be a problem.

Go to post office depot and ask to see it and/or the senders details before paying?
