I suddenly lost someone 2 days ago - a loving father and husband, a talented cricketer, and a great friend, taken far too young at the age of 35.

Still numb, still in shock - a week ago we were drinking champagne and celebrating my birthday, a few days from now I will be at his funeral.

I cannot even comprehend what his family are going through.

Heart attack apparently, or something very similar. Worked 7 days a week, and was back and forth to hospital with his baby girl who has some health complications - on reflection he did seem very stressed last time I saw him. Haven't lost a friend since college days when they all started crashing down corninsh lanes in stbox hatchbacks 16 years ago

Feck.

We had a chap here keel over and die a few weeks ago.

He was 40, just split from his wife, heavy smoker/drinker, lots of stress.

It's made me worried as I do stress quite badly.

I was fit, a non smoker and only a social drinker but I still had a heart attack. Doc said it was stress.

Jesus - 35 is no age!

I'm 38 soon... going through a really horrible breakup, which has me stressed 24/7

Exactly - have already made a conscious effort not to get stressed with work, and will be booking a nice long Christmas holiday.

Am getting the rest of our cricket team together on Sunday for a wake and to put some money together for the family.

One of the most generous, likable and friendliest guys I ever met.

I can see an early visit to the pub happening today!
