Sevenoaks, Kent. Recommend me a pub &/or restaurant

Dibble and Dibble's colleague find ourselves unexpectedly in Sevenoaks.

Can anyone recommend us a decent pub and restaurant? We're not too fussy on food type, so recommend away.

Mods can this be left in The Lounge, please? It'll hopefully be seen by more people, and I'm already hungry and thirsty!

If you are able to get to Tunbridge Wells (a short drive away) I would suggest The Hand & Sceptre www.thehandandsceptre.co.uk they do very good food. But if its only Sevenoaks I have no idea.

White Rock at Underiver - just south of Sevenoaks. Less than 10mins drive.

We're stuck in Sevenoaks, which seems to have less life than Leatherhead.

Loch Fyne - absolutely fantastic fish restaurant, on the high street.

the mexican rest on london road, cant recall what its called - nice selection of dishes and about the only plave around here selling desperado.....( restaurant is just along from the 'hardware centre').....assuming that you were here for more than 1 night and this message isnt too late!

Are you talking about Zapata? If so, i've eaten in there three times now and it is indeed very good.

The Vine just walk down the high street past the cricket pitch. Owner seemed nice and lives on premises and always seems busy.

I stay in the Royal Oak in Sevenoaks when I'm on business, it's home to some perfectly good food. Must say though, the fish restaurant further into town always smells lovely when I walk past!

Thai Square had lovely dinner there at weekend, the mexican place rocks, Gregs top end of town is very nice, Loch Fyne.

Plenty of pubs to choose from

Nona Cappacino's, Italian Deli
Lock Fyne, Fish Restaurant

There is a nice Italian on the High Street I cant remember the name of, but it is probably my first choice for lunch.

Go for a walk around, there is loads of decent eateries in Sevenoaks.
