Swine flu an interesting perspective

I was talking to a Virologist today. Got around to the subject of the dreaded pox thats going to kill us all. No not obesity but swine flu.
Has he had the antiviral yet? after all you would think in his line of work he could get an under the counter supply.
His answer. No. We've all been down to Tesco and got the Flu jab for £8 it gives just as good protection.

A woman came into the GP surgery the other day while I was on placement, and asked about this, and the doctor told her that the flu jab offers no protection against swine flu. I brought this up with my tutor, who is the lead immunologist at this medical school, and he said that it offers very little protection. Different opinions all over the place seemingly.
