So, burnt myself, have gone deaf in one ear, still healing painfully.
Been to hospital again today, arm gone septic again, and it looks like my eye is screwed, hence the dizziness and headaches. Still can't drive, still can't get signed off to do an exam I need to do to get back to work.
Worse, the dr suggests it will be 6 months before they can even operate- then 3 months recovery time after that.
He also suggests that a job involving driving is not wise in the future due to the eye.
So, overdrawn, behind on mortgage (badly) totally skint, unable to work.
My father is very ill in bed with a chronic lung complaint, we have to rehome their dog (tomorrow, hopefully thanks to a kind PHer).
The other half came home last night to tell me a work colleague of some 15 dropped dead, a relatives house has been broken into and totally trashed, and a good friend of mine is critical in hospital following a car crash.
Can't even afford a pint.

A few suggestions
That is a seriously bad run of luck.... Have you considered which old gypsy woman you crossed. You might want to go back and have another word.
Have you considered suing BP or Shell ? clearly they didn't label the product properly right.
Perhaps a Feng Shui evaluation of your house might help. I recommend carrying a red ribbon and two silver coins at all times.
Failing that I find after a couple of glasses of scotch it all seems a little more tolerable.
Sorry to hear that mate - you've really not had the best run of luck lately, seems to have started when you bought the Chim??
On a more serious note have you contacted the mortgage company to explain the situation etc? I'm sure you probably have already done so but I've seen people bury their heads in th sand and get into real trouble in this way....

I'm sorry to hear about your terrible run of luck. I experienced a similar run just over two years ago and to be honest things are still a struggle now.
The only thing I would say its time like these you really find out who your friends are. I certainly did and found out that nearly all of them were very generous. I found that one of the most important things was not to get too wound up about trivial things. That way further problems lie. However if you did need to, ranting here is as good place as any.
Keep going and lean on your friends, they'll help pull you through. All the best.

Seconded - check the paperwork on the various insurance/assurance stuff you took out. I seem to remember from my mortgage years ago that there was some protection with regard to serious injury.Pecker up, old chap

This is pistonheads and we should be doing more, like a collection or something to put this poor guy back into the position he was at before this bad run of luck started. A little from all of us would help.
I'll start. I've got a litre of bbq lighter fuel to send.
