A Favour to Ask...

Hello all,

I have a massive favour to ask from all you novel-loving readers, particularly those who enjoy thriller/sci-fi. I am currently registered on a site called Authonomy, run by publishing house Harper Collins, which works on a ranking based system whereby the top 5 books get a review with potential interest from editors at Harper Collins. The other alternative is that agents and other publishing houses occasionally glance at the top ten books to see if anything pips their interest.

Now here's the favour; my book is currently ranked at 37 out of 4000-odd, and as competition is fierce, I could do with every last bit of support possible. What I would be really grateful for is if you could follow this link (http://www.authonomy.com/ReadBook.aspx?bookid=11321#chapter) read as much or as little as you like, sign up to the site and if (and only if!) you like my book, click the 'Back the Book' button to help me along my way. You can post a comment on my book as well if you like, but it isn't necessary. Registering is quick and simple, and the site is very trustworthy.

The reason I am so keen to get to the top is because I have had some good feedback from a lot a people, including a handful of published authors, so this could present a very real opportunity for me as it has done for others on the site.

If you have any questions about it, please let me know, and remember; only back the book if you like it. If you think it is rubbish or could do with improvement, I would also be very glad if you could let me know.

The book itself is a post-apocalyptic novel called Noah's Ark. It follows the stories of Alex Latham and Michael Beecham through a strange sequence of events after they both experienced the beginning of the end of the world. If you like the Matrix, books by Michael Crichton, that sort of thing, this could be of interest to you.

Have you ever read Lucifers Hammer?

I have a strange sort of fascination with end of world stories, I'll give yours a go. Is the whole book in there?

A third of the book is there, pretty much up to the first major reveal. I'm a bit anxious about posting the entirety of the book on the internet, I'm sure you can understand why!

I haven't read Lucifer's Hammer; I'm assuming you're recommending it so I'll pick that one up. Thanks!

Do it. It's good exercise for the brain, and very enjoyable. Authonomy is great for feedback too. Once you have 10k words you can upload it there.

Do you know, it never occurred to me think hat car it was... it's just something bland. Toyota Avensis perhaps? Middle management spec?
