A rare thread, I know.
I moved house on 2nd April this year and had the phone line supplied by Sky Talk. They gave me 1571 answering service. I didn't want it. I didn't want it because the only person who would ever leave a message is my mother in law. She leaves a LOT of messages. Mostly boring ones. Actually ONLY boring ones.
So here we are on 27th October. I have spoken to Sky and emailed Sky more times than I can recall. Every time they told me it would be turned off in 72 hours. It never was. They just couldn't kill the b
d thing. So I went back to BT. And told them I didn't want 1517.
They told me it would change over on 27th October. Just short of 7 months since I first asked Sky to turn off the fking answerphone service. And as promised, it changed over today. And there is no 1571.
Thank you BT, I no longer have to listen to her messages. I love you.
