Blamed because she doesn't wear a watch.
Discussion
Talking to my missus earlier and the following conversation came up.
Her: I'll see you at 7.30 - 8 ish. Didn't realise what time it was.
Me: So how could you not realise what the time is?
Her: I don't wear a watch anymore. It doesn't help that the only thing I have that tells the time is my phone.
Me: So why dont you use your phone to look at the time.
Her: Because I have it by my ear when I'm on the phone to you.
Me: Thinks *What the eff? I'm not always on the phone to you! How does that make sense?*
Me: But you used to wear a watch? How comes you don't anymore?
Her: I just don't. Coming to think of it, it's your fault I don't wear a watch anymore.
Me: How does it make that my fault?
Her: Because you don't wear a watch!
Me: WHAT. THE. f
k.
Now let me give you a bit of a background on this. I don't wear watches. I hate the things on my wrist just like I hate jewellery. The only thing I would ever wear is my wedding ring. If I want to tell the time I can just look on my phone. Or on my computer screen when my phone is not with me. Or check on the sky programme banner. Or have a look at the clock in the car. I have never really worn a watch since I was 16 when I broke my £10 Casio playing football in the school quads one lunchtime just before my GCSE's.
I have known my missus for 7 years now. We were very good friends for the first 5 years and have been together for the last 2. But for her to use this as an excuse has me baffled. Just thought I'd share.
