help me out of pickle - forgot wifes birthday

ok - it had to happen eventually - but the second year of marriage may be deemed a little early -

i forgot my wifes birthday and have tapdanced that were off to a nice dinner/hotel tonight -

shes gone to the hairdresser and i have precisely two hours to plan/select & book a nice meal & hotel for this evening -

10 mile radius of guildford would be good -

Drakes in Ripley is the only Michelin stared resturant in the area, never been myself...

Otherwise the Thai which Rizzo suggested is very good from what I hear.

And to add it was Thai Terrace that has the good reports. The other one I have been to, Rum Wong or whatever it is, which was nice, but Thai Terrace is better so I am told.

so - i book the Hotel, got to top table and fine a nice restaurant just over the way.... everything looking hunky-dory

checking in the receptionist asks - "when did you book? it - I dont seem to have your reservation here..."
