I found out today that my GF was abused by a client whilst at work, basically he started calling her rather nasty names, pushed her and threatened that she would 'get it' and obviously he buggered off without paying his bill.

Why do people find the need to be like that? Even it is an entirely empty threat my GF will now feel unsafe in her own surgery and be on edge, especially when dealing with male clients.

I despair of this country sometimes.

In a surgery?? Ye Gods, that's truly shocking.

Hope she can bounce back quickly and remember that the majority of people are decent but there are always a few sad exceptions to the rule.

What does she do?

By using the word surgery I assume it is something that would require the guy to leave his details and therefore make him findable by plod.

Sadly I've been abused by patients too, never been physically assaulted, unless you count having saftey glasses thrown at you.

There are so many idiots about, and it's all too easy to focus on the bad experiences instead of thinking about the lovey people.

she is a vet so yes, she should have the details.

Assault, threatening behaveiour and theft as I read it. I presume the police have been informed...
