Idea nabbed from another forum, but thought it was a good one as we're approaching the end of the year now.
RELATIONSHIP: Happily single after getting out of a 2 year relationship!
HOLIDAYS: Croatia, South of France, Superb European Hooning trip!
WORK: moved to what seemed like a fun job, it isn't really - nuff said!
HOUSE: Renting a nice place very cheaply!
CAR(S): Bit the bullet and bought the (realistic) dream - a 182 rather than a Lambo or Ferrari, but I've done nearly 10k in 7 months and still puts a smile on my face!
HIGHS: The car, the holidays
LOWS: Grandma passed away, work has been overall pretty badly paid and dull.
AIMS FOR 2010: Nurburgring again, move overseas to Teach English

HOUSE: Steal of a deal from a builder desparate to get rid - 25% off £395k asking price.
CAR(S): BMW getting steadily more battered. Dolomite passed MOT.
HIGHS: Toddler, work going well.
LOWS: Mother's mental health declining steadily
AIMS FOR 2010: Make some decent money

HOLIDAYS: Caravan trips to York and Durham cos a bit skint at the mo.
WORK: Handed 18 months notice in on my 22 year career for a fresh start in civvy street.Scarey!
HOUSE: Giving up house with job, looking for somewhere new. Even scarier!
CAR(S): Both costing lots.
HIGHS: Various, but mainly seeing 6 year old daughter blossom.
LOWS: Various, nothing too major, a few injuries and illnesses.
AIMS FOR 2010: Find a new job, find a new house, find a new car, find a new life.

RELATIONSHIP: Proposed to woman on her 30th, relationship with just gets better and better.
HOLIDAYS: Er, no.
WORK: Could be better, crap pay but gaining useful experience. Job change imminent.
HOUSE: Just stuck an offer in to buy my first house.
CAR(S): Gone through about 7 cars this year, as well as the ever present GTO. Also bought a bus, although i'm still not sure why.
HIGHS: Becoming engaged and buying a house.
LOWS: Grandad died 4 days after my birthday, resulting in big family wars.
AIMS FOR 2010: Married, better job. Maybe buy an early X300 XJR if things go really well.

HOLIDAYS: Two barn weekends and a rental cottage in France, nothing much.

HOLIDAYS: Egypt and Devon- quite enjoyable.
WORK: Been up and down, economic situation has made the atmosphere a bit unpleasant.
HOUSE: Still living at home, but happy enough here.
CAR(S): Got myself the MX5 which has been great fun- got my eye on something else for next year though.
HIGHS: Egypt trip and MX5.

CAR(S): opel Mantas :1 X 1972. 1 X 1986 V8 1 X 1986 GTE, standard. also a 1980 Opel Ascona, concours winner. 1977 Opel Kadett, bright yellow, excellent fun. 1995 Chevy Astro dayvan, 4.3 auto, comfy bus of a thing. 2002 VW golf TDi daily hoon.
HIGHS: any shags I get after 7 years are good, and the holidays were excellent.
LOWS: Weather, Labour, politics in general.
AIMS FOR 2010: more sex, month in Greece, going to drive the Astro down there slowly.

Since the summer that's gone up to 7/10 - really loving life now!

Work: lost job, not had one since (see below)
House: bought our cottage- moved nearly 400 yards, love it- garden turned out too large
Car: sold the TVR, bought a saab convertible. Hardly exciting!!!
Highs: last week on Pistonheads, the fact that humankind still contains some superb people!!
Lows: the fact the garden in the new place is big enough to have a BBQ!! The real low was my lad seeing me injured and the look on his face- happily fixing now
Aims for 2010: get healed, get employed, spend more time with emsman jnr, do things to make a difference to those less fortunate than me. And le mans- be healed in time for le mans
Overall I give the steaming turd that is 2009 a 3/10- would be a 2 but hey, I'm still alive!!

WORK: Quiet. Turnover down 50%, profits down 65% so spent time developing and launching new product for 2010
HOUSE: Dry, which is good and a significant improvement on 2007/8, have looked at moving up this year but can't see anything I want which is worth paying for
CAR(S): E320 has settled in well to the abuse. Elise sailed through the MOT and hasn't missed a beat.
HIGHS: Stock market has given me back some of my money
LOWS: Chaotic 4 months with the mother in law very ill, younger sister still in ill health
AIMS FOR 2010: To make more money than in 2009 and hope everyone lives to see out the year

WORK: Graduated and went full time with my company. Lots of positive sides and great experience, but frustrating at times.
HOUSE: Moved into a room at my Aunt's. £300 per month, can't complain.
CAR(S): Donated W reg Ford Focus - best car I've had yet!
HIGHS: Representing Scotland at Australian Rules Football.
LOWS: Probably towards the end of the relationship
AIMS FOR 2010: Complete Diploma in Marketing, continue to gain experience, build on fitness for aussie rules, have fun and travel some more.
