Novelty bets

Elvis to come back to earth, aliens being discovered etc. The crazier and longer odds the better.

Anyone know where the best places to put these kinds of bets on are? Is it a case of going into the bookies and asking them or what? Presumably even a totally crazy bet has to be researched to give some odds so for a couple of quid is it worth their while unless you're going to go to the Sun or something?

Any decent bookies will give you odds on MOST bets.

however, we called William Hill one day when the Washington Sniper was still at large.

We asked them if they would take a bet on how many people he took out before he was caught. She put us on hold to ask her manager the odds, but came back to tell us they can't take a bet on murders. Shame.!

Hills wouldn't give me a price on the outcome of the OJ trial years ago either. Shame, I was all over Not Guilty.

Well you can walk into most betting shops and bet on a karaoke contest so they should be able to take anything.

But calling the betting shop should get you the answers to most things.
