Roadsign Manufacturers

Does anyone know the name of the company who makes the highly reflective roadsigns all the local authorities use?

Are there regional manufacturers, or one big outlet somewhere?

Anyone work for a local authority who can shed some light?

Alternatively, does anyone know where the police get their highly reflective battenburg decals for their traffic cars?

Looking for manufacturers if possible.

What exactly are you after, bigger builders merchants will get you roadsigns, and the retroreflective vinyl can be bought on ebay or through signwriting companies

in that case just go through ebay or google for the signwriters and you'll see most do loads of different retro-reflective colours. they might ask you to pay a bit, and have a cut rather than offcuts for free, but it won't be much.

you can even get reflective black these days.

Most people who make up graphics can cut them to any shape you want, so all they need is to have the colour spec you want.

As for the roadsigns in question, local authorities get them made locally. Well each local authority has someone they use. I don't know if it is for separate departments to sort, or a tender for all.

An engineering firm I used to do electrical work for used to have a couple of guys making them for some universities. Same signs.
