As title, Johnny & I are on our way to Manchester for the UFC and looking for suggestions where we can enjoy a night out avoiding four levels of cheesey w
k fest.
Eclectic music tastes, somewhere alternative, sophisticated, fairly lively and, well, just nice.
We have an appartment at The Place, but are willing to travel within reason.

I can definately vouch for the Northern Quarter. I'd recommend Trof, Bluu, TV21 and the Bay Horse if you want somewhere a bit more chilled out. I normally avoid the Walrus, generally, rammed with a poor choice of overpriced beer!

I'm not Northern. I'll have you know i'm originally from Cheltenham, but now live in a well respected country village near Cambridge and am really rather posh...Who said Northern birds aren't classy?
