We've lost 2 trees, a fence & have breaking waves on the fish pond! It is just starting to blow up again now.

Hehe yeh there is a slight breeze today. I woke up at about 6am to the rain lashing the windows and the sight of the bin doing a runner down the garden

Well I've had to deal with being woken up by my patio heater falling over on the decking just below the bedroom window. Cue a mad run downstairs to check it wasn't broken as last time it went over in wind it cracked the adapter part between the head and stem which required welding to fix. Luckily it was intact so I left it on it's side and tucked it in the corner, having spent a few minutes in nothing but my boxers out in the driving wind and rain!!

This was 4am. The dog then proceeded to spend the next 2 hours whining and pacing up and down the stairs and wimpering to let me know that he was scared. Having just nodded off, the alarm went off...

If you look up "false economy" in the dictionary, you will find a picture of some larch lap fencing.

Next door just planted these tropical type trees in this week all of 3 inches
They are now not to be see,They did tell me they were crap at gardening lol

Watford is windy and miserable as it's raining too. Couldn't have a fag poperly earlier as the wind kept blowing to prevent me lighting it. At this point my face resembled Popeye's due to the slapping rain. After lighting the fag, I looked around to find most bins fallen in my area, of which one was obviously mine. With all the st fallen out of it. Lovely.

Had a couple of "interesting" moments on the elevated section of the M6 near Fort Dunlop earlier. I'm as much a fan of going sideways as the next man, but not in a lorry.

Its wide and open here near Oxford, I was watching a bird from my window for a couple of minutes just now until it realised it was going nowhere into the wind

Quite glad we replaced the fence in the Summer - may have been backbreaking and lost alot of my plants, but we did say it would withstand most things. It's turning out to be right - it's godawful out there. Hence staying in with cats and open fire

Finally calming down here in Exeter! Totally manic from 7pm last night, shed roof felt blown off, 4" diameter tree branch sat on what was a patio set, roadworks signs outside my house blown all over the road ( BiB have stood them back up three times during the night ) exposing a 4" deep trench half the width of the road! But without a doubt the event of the morning for me was arriving back from the shops with three full bags, placing them down on the hard standing to lock the car up, and watching in amused amazement as bag one falls over and three packs of rice and a bunch of three bananas TAKE OFF and flew over the fence and away! Couldn't get angry, just had to laugh
