anyone use ebay to sell things by sending from amazon,etc ?

I have found 2 items, one I can buy from sites for £265 and £39 including free P&P....

So would it be really unethical of me to sell them at just under the usual prices of £350 and £140 and then when someone buys them, then put their name and address down as a gift delivery from the other websites?

That way I have no costs and can make £30-50 per item?

Is that how people make money from ebay?

Lots of people make money on ebay doing this but you have got to remember ebay will take about 8% of whatever it sells for then paypal take someone like 4%. If its still viable then go for it.

whilst i think ethically that is fine , sending the item direct will mean that your invoice from the original seller will be in the parcel.how hacked off is your customer going to be? the other potential pitfall is that you are relying on a third party to process the order. if they mess it up you have to deal with problems that you have no control over.if they are popular items maybe you could hold the stock, i know it means posting it again or ask the seller not to include the invoice,another thing that has occured to me is that the original seller has your customers details,so they could market to them directly in future

Go for it, plenty of people buy things from screwfix / costco etc when on special offer, just to pop them onto Ebay at a profit

This is business, and although it seems strange, go for it!

You can always get it marked as a gift, hence no cost information included.

Most sellers will only send a packing list anyway, not an invoice. Your worst is the seller putting a little 'please buy from us again' note in the box, lots of ebay/amazon sellers do this, it's almost free advertising....

If i was you i would bite the bullet on shipping costs and have them send it to you, then forward it to your customer. Means more time and money being spent. Also means happy go daft customers who are likely to buy from www.Dupont666.com again.
