Several gifts for the OH.... One that springs to mind is that she is a massive bill bailey fan... so I got her some tickets for right at the front near the stage, she was speechless for about 30mins... Good brownie points achieved

Track Day for my dads 40th. But a proper one, not one of the mickey mouse '10 laps in an MX5, 1 lap in a Murcielago, that'll be £300 please, now off you go, we have another group waiting to go out, don't forget to buy the £50 DVD of your 3 minutes on the way out'.

Whole day, 8 different cars from Elises through Ferraris to a single seater Renault. It was worth it just to send my mum out for the hot lap in a 911 Turbo and see her face when she got back! Worth the extra couple of hundred quid over the half day half baked efforts...

I got my husband tickets to see Oasis in Brighton about 6 years ago after they had all sold out.

Yesterday I left work early to pick my girlfriend (she started feeling sick in work) thought nothing of it...She wanted to pick up some Dog Food in Sainsburys and came out with Modern Warefare 2 - I nearly shat with joy!

Got my current OH a really nice and very limited edition necklace for Xmas just after we got together, she loved it. For her birthday later that year I found the equally nice and just as limited edition matching bracelet, after weeks of searching I finally found it about 7 miles away. They are amongst her favourite things and ensured me against The Mental for about 6 months after the bracelet arrived.

Once bought the wife an XR2i (14 years ago), then parked it outside her offices; with a big red bow tied to it, and had the keys delivered to her.

For my dads 60th earleir this year, I organised a drive in a ferret armoured car aound a field (he drove them in the TA in the early 70s). Great fun- him driving, someone else pretending to fire the gun.

And it was very nice for the Kent Police armed response unit to turn up just as we were having tea and cake on the lawn. Aparently, someone many miles away could hear the machine gun fire..

Hired the Gf's son a bouncy castle for his birthday - he fecking loved it!

I've been very lucky with what I have received over the years. Highlights include:-

A very special watch from the g/f last year.
An off road kart when I were a wee lad
Various R/c (nito and battery) cars


Best one I have bought anyone though was last year when I took the g/f to Paris for her birthday 1st class Eurotrash, Executive suite in one of the top hotels and tickets to the opera. Mucho points for that little lot.

A couple of kittens for the ex, purely to keep her broody-ness at bay. Worked a treat and she was happy

I once saved an old factory window frame (bit nicer than the one below... but you get the idea.. scrap to most people!) and gave it to a girl I fancied.



She loved it and we went out together for many years!

Not an easy girl to please, every year I had to find something 'interesting'.

tag watch for the ex's 30th went down well, christmas + New year in Thailand for the latest ex went down well too... she didn't show any signs of the mental until September after that.
