Diamonds...(ladies of PH I need your help!)

Christmas is nearly upon us and this year I plan to buy my beloved some very good jewellery. I would love to go to De Beers or Graff but doubt very much I could afford anything. I don't want anything from Tiffany as she already has a Tiffany cuff and I want to be different. So, where can you recommend either high street or on-line? My budget would be into the hundreds but not more than five of them!

Then you can get on to the more flamboyant stuff

If you want "wow" you could get a decent loose gemstone, eg. morganite or aquamarine for £500 which she could have made into anything she wanted. Holt's in Hatton Garden is the place to go.

if £500 is your max budget for diamond jewellery, then i would be looking at either Earings or a Pendant.

Sorted! Bought something this afternoon when not expecting to. Its an 18ct white gold pendant with 3 diamonds set into it on an 18ct white gold chain. I went to the sort of jewellers that I never thought I could afford and got something more exclusive too. Well pleased and hope she likes it too.

An alternative to diamonds, might be a bracelet? These are currently VERY popular and you can add to it each birthday and Christmas etc (i.e. your presents sorted for a couple of years);

I gave my girlfriend Chamilia for Christmas one year.
