I've just had to rescue a drunk outside my flat...

I live in a modern flat development on the canal in Edinburgh, i've just had to rescue possibly the drunkest man ever who had managed to fall in.
In all seriousness though, he's unable to speak let alone swim.
I've been pretty drunk myself before but nothing even comes close to this guy.
So i'm now soaking wet having pulled this clown out of the water and he's going to have a sore head when he wakes up in the morning having been for a late night swim.
Has anyone else had to rescue a drunk recently?

I shouldn't laugh, it could of been a lot more serious if my neighbour and i hadn't run out to grab him.
Well I'm with the piss head. I know I posted a while ago the day after a four bottle of wine session. Tonight I'm posting whilst DURING such a session. Just starting my fourth bottle, still can see and able to type coherent posts. Reckon I'll still feel like something has taken a st in my head tomorrow morning.
Need to find a canal now and throw myself in it, see who rescues me!!

Yes well done, did you see the story the other day about the poor bd who drowned after getting wedged upside down in a storm drain? He was shouting for help all night but nobody came - they found his feet sticking out of the hole the next morning

Apparently neighbours did hear him and thought it was the usual late night drunkard so didn't go out at about 1.30a.m and someone walking their dog at 5.00a.m found him. This was being discussed on the radio one lunchtime this week.
