Cannot remember the last time I went out without getting wet. I know have out door hobbies mean you have to put up with the odd shower, but this is bloody ridiculous.

What you need is a nice relaxing few days away in the Lake District, there are are many friendly local people here just waiting to hear all about how bad it is down south

It's wild here in Burnham on sea, you can just about walk against the wind, which isn't that unusual I know, but it's the strongest winds of the year right now, even the seagulls are taking shelter.

It's driving me bats, too.

Virtually all of my hobbies and pastimes are outdoors.

Still. Here in the South the weather has been merely annoying rather than actively dangerous and damaging like it's been for the poor Cumbrians.

Adverse weather happens every year, but agree its the folk of the north who face the brunt of it.
But life carries on up there,(true northern grit) unlike when the snow hit the sarf last year it all came to a halt
