Anyone else blissfully unaware of anything that's happening in Celebrity Jungle Dancing on Ice?

It just seems that for so many of these rant threads in the Lounge, I've found a way of it not affecting me. I just ignore it. Have never watched any of these programmes, never wanted to. The whole celebrity culture is just for other people, as far as I'm concerned.

Also things like people who swear and beep at you for overtaking. People who wave at you to slow down when you're doing the speed limit, just because you're in a loud car. It's them who are getting agitated, not me.

Anyone else take a similar approach to these sorts of things?

People who have a lot to say about this kind of stuff invariably have very little going on in their lives.

The irony of the above comment and my post count now breaking the 1,000 barrier is not lost on me.

Sorry, should have said. What sparked me off thinking about this was that thread about "The Biggest Travesty of 2009" where the OP is incensed that McDonald's are using some sort of designer chair now.

I'm sure a lot of you would agree when I say I literally could not care less. I have not been to a McDonald's for years. In fact I think the last time I did was out of necessity, on the road to a funeral 400 miles away and no other services for miles. We pulled into the drive thru, bought breakfast (their breakfast sausages do have something about them I like) and drove off. I can not remember the last time time I sat down to eat in one. Easily 10 years ago. So, anything to do with McDonald's completely passes me by, I ignore it, and it doesn't affect me.

I refuse to have any of the reality programs or soaps on in the house, it just makes my life easier, and less stressful.

I even put a PIN on my old tv to stop the ex being able to change to BBC1 between 7:30 and 8:30 so she couldn't watch eastenders, even when I wasn't in biggrin

It was so worth bringing The Mental down on me for that.

Oh, and this film called New Moon. I have no desire to find out what it's about, why so and so is just soooo hot etc. etc.
I will never watch it. Ever. I don't care. I have never seen st like Titanic, Moulin Rouge or that Abba film either.

If you've never seen them, how do you know they're st?

Just look at the demographic they appeal to.

Nope doesn't appeal to me either.
Was forced to watch it when over at a party a couple of weeks back, it made me want to shout. Could not care less who wins "Britain's got the pop x celebrity jungle arsehead factor strictly on ice".

That's not what he was complaining about though.

It's nothing to do with it being McDonalds per se, but that a classic design has been cheapened and bdised.

The motoring equivalent would be ...where's that pic of the McLaren F1 limo when you need it?...

(besides which, he wasn't incensed by anything and there's a distinct whiff of irony in you getting het up enough to create a thread spurred by at his jovial annoyance wink)

I used to pull the fking jungle no-mark celebrity thing off a satellite over the Indian Ocean and send it to ITfkingV. I was contractually obliged to watch it for far too many fking minutes of my fking life. I don't normally swear this much but it really fking traumatised me.

How would that make you feel? Having to watch it all night? If it goes wrong and you didn't notice you are in st, so you have to watch it. I'm fking sweating thinking about it.

This is what Douglas Adams would refer to as an SEP. In this case, yours.
