Looking to relocate and start afresh following a messy divorce. I currently live in North East Surrey and don't want to live there any more.

So where would the panel recommend?
Needs to be:
max 75 mins from London
max 1 hour from a good airport ie luton types ok, blackpool/dtv types not ok
nice area
reasonable rents

Clapham / Battersea

Both lovely areas, nappy Valley (Northcote road) in Clapham is amazing and inbetween the commons if your active and into sport.

Leicestershire. You have the benefits of:

-countryside. All that green stuff. A lot less congested then the south east- you can go for a drive and not see another car. An experience I never had when I lived in kent

-Leicester is 1hr 10 from London St. Pancras. Market Harborough less, Loughborough slightly more

-East mids airport is in Leicestershire
-Birmingham airport is close by
-The train goes throguh Luton airport parkway station on its way to London
-And you can also get a train to Stansted

-Good mix of pretty market towns and cities big enough for 90% of what you want

-Donington, Mallory, Silverstone, Rockingham, Curbourgh all within 1 hrs drive.

-Cheap housing (your london wage will go a long way)

-Bruntingthorpe

or you could live in an overcrowded, unsafe, expensive place called London. why anyone does is beyond me

1hr50 to kings cross, doncaster/sheff airport on the doorstep, 30mins to humberside airport, 1hr to mcr airport.

live in one of the nth lincs villages and you can have a 6bed house + land for the price of your london 1bed flat.

You could move out along the Basingstoke line.

Do not move to Basingstoke. But Hook, Fleet etc have places.

You can always travel if you must visit the dens of iniquity.

Milton Keynes. Fast train link to London. Close to M1. Between Luton and Birmingham airports. Lots of stuff to do, lots of lovely countryside around.

MK get's my vote, some nice houses in the suburbs and not too far from a lot of things.

Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea. 50 minutes into Fenchurch/Liverpool St., and plenty for the banging of! Sensible house prices and some stunning rural areas and roads.

and water sports.
